The aluminum alloy with which we work the most. It is one of the more corrosion-resistant aluminum alloys and is also easily-machined, though cannot be run at speeds as high as 2011. We have made parts of 6061 aluminum for the aerospace, medical, and powersports industries.
The best machining of all the aluminum alloys, even better than 6061.
A strong, copper-alloyed aluminum that is easily machined. It is less corrosion-resistant than 6061 thanks to the presence of copper but is stronger under tension.
A stronger aluminum that can be more difficult to machine than 2011.
The strongest of the 6000-series aluminums and still can be machined, making it an alternative to 6061. It can be more difficult to produce thin walls from 6082 than from 6061.
A relatively uncommon aluminum that was designed specifically to be highly-machinable on Swiss-style machines.
